Living by the Spirit

Walk by the Spirit—renew your mind, live free from shame, and witness with steady power.

Session 7 - Living by the Spirit

This session turns to daily discipleship: living under the Spirit’s guidance rather than the flesh, renewing the mind, walking in holiness and freedom, praying with the Spirit’s help, and being empowered to witness.

Key themes

  •
Living by the Spirit is a daily choice to be guided by the Holy Spirit rather than the flesh.
  •
The Spirit renews our thoughts and attitudes as we “put on” our new nature in Christ.
  •
The Spirit applies the message of “no condemnation” and frees believers from shame and spiritual heaviness.
  •
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live holy lives, separated for God’s service.
  •
The Spirit sets believers free from fear through adoption and assurance as God’s children.
  •
The Spirit gives power to witness for Christ with boldness and resilience.
  •
The Spirit helps believers in prayer, including when we don’t know what to pray.
